·   Tanghu Elementary School (TES) believes that creating a good environment is a matter of vital importance, because children spend their time studying and living in the school for nearly eight hours every day. A good teaching environment not only benefits the teachers by fostering students’ good health and living habits, but also improves the health level and learning efficiency of the students.

In order to carry out the School Sanitation Regulation, the local Public Health Department of Shuangliu District of Chengdu City invited an independent company to execute the sanitation inspection in the classrooms of TES. 

The specialized sanitation inspection in classrooms includes the following aspects: natural day-lighting, the lighting system, area per capita, the illumination of blackboard and chairs, micro-climate, and so on. The participation of the Security Section of TES, led by Mr Liu, also makes a contribution to the sanitation inspection.

The desk and chair at the very front row should be placed two meters away from the blackboard, and the desk and chair at back row should be used within eight meters of the blackboard according to the hygiene standard. The variations in students’ height requires teachers to adjust the height and angle of the desk for students’ health.

With the guidance of the local Public Health Department and the result of the independent company, Tanghu Elementary School will enforce the School Sanitation Regulation strictly for students to have a safe and healthy environment.
