On December 27^th, 2017, “Celebrate New Year’s Day” an English writing competion for Shuangliu district was held in Tanghu elementary school. This competition was for enhancing students’ interest and confidence in English study, writing decent English, cultivating good writing habits, and enriching the campus cultural life.

For the successful holding of this writing competition, the English teachers from the English group of Tanghu elementary school prepared all kinds of competition information. They checked in school names and student names, made advertisement banners , cleaned the reading room, and so on. All the English teachers took part in the preparatary work for the complete success of this writing competition.

All the elementary schools arrived at the reading room of Tanghu elementary school at 9:00, a.m.. The teachers and the students found their school names on the desk. The primary school instructor and researcher, Shang Meilin, anounced the start of the writing competion. More than one hundred studnets were all set. At the same time, all the teachers came to the teachers reading room. Firstly, Ms Shang made a summary of teaching and researching activities. She affirmed teachers’ performance. Sencondly, Ms Shang read out the teachers’ name who recieved honor certificates. At last, the teachers of Tanghu elementary school awarded abundent prizes to teachers and schools that competed.

At half past eleven, the writing competition ended successfully. At noon, all the teachers from the primary school English center group appraised students’ writing works.

All hard work is worth it for each English teacher of Tanghu elementary school, because children gained writing skills and grew up during this writing competition.
