On the morning of December5, all the members of Duan Xv workshop came to Tanghu Elementary school (southern district) to conduct a seminar on how to give a good class meeting.

The first class taught by Ms Zhu Xi, she gave us a class meeting about orderliness. Ms Zhu was well-prepared and the teaching design conforms to the child’s age characteristics. The usage of multi-purpose activities in the class gave the students of the importance of order, allowing children to understand what needed to be ordered in their daily life and in their studies at the same time.

The second class was “overcoming the carelessness” by Ms Jiang Wei, a young teacher of our school. Ms Jiang started with the story of Dingding drawing the chicken, and let the students find that he or she also did careless things，and suddenly raised the interest of the children. Then, through two interesting games called “looking for differences” and “I am the transmitter,” let the students find out the way to overcome carelessness is to watch, to listen and to think.

At last, under the guidance of Duan Xv they showed their own comments on these two lessons.

Class meetings are one of the main forms of moral education activity. It is an effective form and position of the head teacher to carry out the moral character education to the students. Therefore a good class meeting means a lot to students’ character forming.
