One of the Chinese Traditional Festivals—National Day
Oct.1st is the national day of China. At that time people were very happy, because China was free and the war had just stopped. We were the winners! Then every year since on this day, people put the national flag out to celebrate. At the capital of China--Beijing, there are a lot of people who parade and celebrate on the national day. Everybody is happy and very excited. October 1 is the birthday of our great motherland .October 1st, 1949, was the anniversary of the founding of New China. It should be clear that, in many people's minds, that October lst ,1949 in Tiananmen Square in Beijing several hundred thousand people attended the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China. Since October 1, 1949 the ceremony held at Tiananmen Square is the establishment of the Central People's government Festival, rather than the country's founding ceremony. Nor was it called "the country's founding ceremony," but just a "founding ceremony." On September 21, 1949, the Chinese People's Political Consultative preparatory Director Mao Zedong said in the first session of the CPPCC National Committee in his opening statement proclaimed the birth of New China.
In the first session of the CPPCC National Committee at its first meeting, a sarcastic statement said: "Studying members are not to leave, he asked me, the establishment of People's Republic of China what should be the National Day, I hope this Council decided to set October 1 as the National Day." Hair ze Dong said "we should make a proposal to the government proposals for the government to decide." on October 2, 1949, the central government adopted the "National Day of the People's Republic of China on the resolution" which provides annually for the October 1 National Day, and to this day the people of China celebrate this as a declaration of State and the establishment of the PRC. Since then, the annual October 1 has become the day for people of all nationalities to join in the grand celebration of the festival. Written and Translated by ZhaoJun |
