Let’s Grow up with Books
At first, Principle Li Shunrong as well as the representatives of teachers and pupils proposed the reading drifting activity, “As long as each of us donates two books, we can establish a library drifting over 7,800 books which can enrich our daily life of reading…” Her proposal was supported by all the teachers and pupils’ parents. Later, all the teachers and students were divided into four squares and bring their books to the drifting area, where those books started their happy journey. Under everyone’s high attention, the class counselors led the little librarians and the books’ guards piled up those precious books and take them to the bookshelves outside of each classroom. When you open one of those books, you will be welcomed by a special bookmark on which there are some recommendation and best wishes from the donors. Thus, the readers of the same book may have some mental resonances, even make friends with each other. At last, the representative of students read the convention of the reading drifting activity in Tanghu Elementary School, which appealed all the teachers and students love those books and share knowledge as well as wisdom. The reading drifting activity advocates that it’s of great value to share books in order to make full use of those “sleeping books”, which is good for our spiritual development and even for our environment. The bookshelves float books, trust, integrity and virtue. Let’s grow up with good books, the crystallization of wisdom during the progress of human civilization. --Written by Lei Zhaoli.
