Gathering to Pool our Wisdom

October 16th was the third day of our study in Changsha. Huang Jing and Hu Aimin, who came from Changsha and Shenzhen, were going to present lessons on this day.

Ms Huang gave a lesson on drawer principle .The design of her class showed great originality, which fully simulated students’ independent thinking. At last of the lesson, she asked the students to clean the blackboard and review what they had learnt at the same time.

Mr Hu gave the second class. At the beginning of the class, he told a riddle to draw students’ attention. Mr Hu led students’ to think themselves and demonstrated the drawer principle by contradiction. In this way, students got a better understanding of this lesson.

         After these two classes, teachers shared their own opinions. The understanding of the lesson is much more important than finding. Sometimes the knowledge point looks easy but difficult to teach. Therefore it’s important to help children to build Zone of proximal development.

The three-day’s learning benefitted a lot. There were a lot to absorb in every teacher’ s class. And famous design concept, the expert review is undoubtedly the best guide and lead to our teaching. I believe there will be a great progress in our professional development.
