Children's Day

Wow! Wow! Wow!

What a couple of whirlwind weeks! Weeks that I have absolutely adored! These last few weeks have been filled with activities that have all been to do with celebrating the children! How awesome is that?! To have a whole day where we have the privilege of getting to say "You know what kids - you actually rock!"

I have been so immeasurably blessed these last few weeks to have been able to spend time with some incredible and joyous children! Children who have made my heart happy to be around!

I had the great pleasure of helping to organise a performance for some of the Grade 3s to do at our school's children's day celebration and my goodness were they amazing! They learned the song so quickly and kept coming with an open mind and heart willing to try new things and new movements! The way that the dancing and movements progressed - especially over the last week in order to adapt to the staging could have had them panicking - I know I sure was! But they didn't - they took everything within their stride and learned all these new movements and they did this with a smile on their face! I am so incredibly proud of these precious children and I know how fortunate I am to be able to experience a snippet of life with them!

On our holiday when we celebrated children's day I also got to go out with some amazing children with the wonderful Carey! Oh my goodness - who knew kids could be so generous and loving and caring! I'm not sure I was when I was that age! I am so excited for these children's future! They are such beautiful and kind beings that I am filled with wonder at what they will become! When we see this generation - we see the potential that they have - the men and women that they can become in society and what they will bring! It's so exciting and we get to be a part of their story - even if it is just for a brief amount of time. I, for one, hope that I am a good part.
