| We aspire to strengthen the ideological and moral construction of our youth and their legal system education, and to enhance their awareness and the ability of adolescents to learn, understand, and obey the law. On November 15th 2017, the students of class 8 grade 4 visited the juvenile’s legal system education base at Shuangliu detention house.
Before the visit, parents of students and two police officers made a special lecture about Preventing Juvenile Delinquency. From the lecture, students knew about the detention house, the behaviours that most likely break the law, and how to observe disciplines and obey laws. After that, children came to the detention house by car with parents and teachers. The police officer explained about juvenile legal knowledge and summarised the criminal causes of juvenile deliquency, how to be a good law-abiding students, and how to protect onself. The cases that connected with real life resonated with parents and teachers.
In the end, children visited the experience house, activity house, and dining room. During the visit, the police officer introduced the daily administrative situation, relevant laws, the life condition of illegal personnel and civilized administrative and so on. The children were deeply shaken inside and felt the pain of the illegal person’s loss of freedom. It has deepened their understanding of crime, the dangers of breaking the law, and the fear of the law. The close legal system education gives students a special “spiritual baptism”. Children are also deeply aware of the importance of their actions and statements. They became determined to be citizen who study the law, know the law, understand the law, and abide by the law.
