On September 20th, members of the Che Shuang research institute came to our reading work room. They discussed the aims and the contents of this new term.

The tutor, Che Shuang, summerized the classroom teaching research activities. She knew every teacher¡¯s teaching grade. The teachers were organized to tease the key problems to be solved. It was found that it was not only Yue Feng who taught year 2 but also Zhang Meiyan, and Tan Ling who taught year 5; they all hoped to do research on writing words in teaching. The three young teachers also had the same teaching aim. Teaching-writing words is difficult, but we want to find some operational approaches that are suitable for ourselves.

On the basis of our teaching problems, Ms Che introduced some specific teaching methods. She emphasized that reading was the ultimate method to solving the writing teaching problem. Teachers¡¯ reading comprehension, reading horizons, and cultural accomplishment were  promoted by reading. Students were also influenced to write composition well. She recommended some books about teaching to us, such as My Composition Teaching Proposition¡¢My Composition Teaching Revolution¡¢My Composition Teaching Stories¡¢My Composition Training System and so on. She also recommended some books for teachers to read.

Next, Ms Che borrowed a book How to Build a Book Campus. She hoped that we could be clear on how to help with students development in reading. All education problems could be readily solved by reading and practice.

This activity is special; because we were not into the classroom, and there was no discussion. The tutor¡¯s teaching growth story and reading exprience touched our hearts. Our own growth can influence students growth. We grow and learn healthily with reading, and the students can also grow healthily and happily with reading.
