On December 13^th, 2016, ten members of Ni Xiaoqiong’s Subject Research Institute from Tanghu Elementary School came to Jiujiang Elementary School to have the fourth subject research on English teaching. As new teachers in their respective schools, Zheng Yi and Jiang Shujie gave two excelent English classes.

Jiang Shujie’s class was well-prepared and designed with a clear clue in which a chameleon changed its colors step by step. Ms. Jiang showed us that it was important to develop students’ abilities of observation, cooperation and communication. There were many fantastic activities in her class, which aroused pupils’ great interests in English learning.

Then, Zheng Yi showed her first open class. Although she behaved a little nervous at the beginning, her vivacious teaching style and lively body language attracted the pupils full attention in the class.

Finally, all the teachers who joined this research activity shared their opinions about the two open classes. Ms. Jiang and Ms. Zheng talked about their teaching design briefly, and then other teachers put up with many valuable ideas.

There is an old Chinese saying that “An accomplished disciple owes his accomplishment to his great teacher.” The new teachers develop their professional abilities rapidly under the guidance of their experienced master.
